Sweet pea and Red Bouquet,some new work just finished. I am trying to get some paintings ready for the Glasgow Art Show at the end of March. I usually leave things to the last minute and then panic sets in, so getting things ready in plenty of time will be a pleasant change for me.

Edinburgh Art Fair 2011

Just arrived backed from the Edinburgh Art Fair today. Exhausted but worth it.

Edinburgh was lovely as usual and we even managed to go on the bus tour around the City. Finally got to visit Edinburgh Castle after five years at the Fair.

The Tallantyre Gallery in Morpeth, Northunberland, will be exhibiting some of my work at the Christmas show including the image below, "daisies in blue". Gormley's in Dublin and Belfast and Buckley's in Cork will be showing some of my work in their Christmas show too. Hope they all go well.

Blooming Bloom

Finished all the work for Bloom in the Park this weekend in Phoenix Park. Just the finishing touches now and deciding which paintings to bring. The weather forecast is good for the weekend so it should be a good day out for everyone. If you are at the show please call by and say hello at stand G61 in the Pavillion. Lots of shows in the pipeline. This weekend we are exhibiting at the Hillsborough Garden Show. June bank holiday we are in Bloom in Phoenix Park. The second Peoples Art Exhibition will be the end of June. Of course we are in Merrion Square every Sunday pitch 125.

Devon Art Fair, Torquay and "Sunflowers"

Just back from the Devon Art Fair in Torquay which was last weekend. Pretty hectic week, but worth the effort. As usual the Fair was very well run, thanks to Andy and Andy.

Next on the agenda is the Art Fair 2010 in the RDS, Ballsbridge. Busy working on a few new pieces. The Edinburgh Art Fair will be next on the list at the end of November. Really looking forward to it.

This painting is "Sunflowers" which was sold in my recent solo exhibition in Gallery Zozimus.

SLEEPLESS NIGHT AHEAD!!! SOLO EXHIBITION OPENS TOMORROW

Well the day has finally arrived, tomorrow my solo exhibition "Side by Side" will be opened by Kathryn Thomas. The paintings are on display in the gallery and there has been one sale already. Keep the red dots coming.....

At last, 18 paintings are finished and framed and have been delivered to Gallery Zozimus for my exhibition in September. I can relax now and concentrate on some new work for the Devon Art Fair, RDS Art Fair and the Edinburgh Art Fair which are all fast approaching. No rest for the wicked!!!

Trying to get a few painting ready for my solo exhibition in September. Have a few other things in the pipeline too, like People's Art, in St Stephen's Green at the end of August and September. Also the Edinburgh Art Fair mid November and the RDS Art Fair at the end of November. Have been busy this week in the studio and got lots of work done.

Below is my latest lilac painting finished this week, from our lilac bush in the garden. It is on a 60x60cm flat canvas.

Keeping lists

My head has been so full of things I need to do, I decided to make a list and start marking off when I have managed to do, the "to do". Sounds complicated, well that is how my mind is at the moment. You will appreciate it is hard to get down to some serious painting with an addled brain like this.

Very satisfying to see the list getting sorted out. So I'm out to the studio now to get stuck in to some paint. Will post what I manage to achieve soon.

New Layout

Please be patient with me... trying a new blog layout...double dutch to me.

Have had a bit of a break from painting lately but back today with a vengence.   Have a commission that is to be ready for the end of July.
